Modern Country Kitchens

Modern country kitchens have that casual comfortable feeling but with all the modern appliances and hardware that make life easier.

For example: in the photo above there is a standard size dishwasher concealed behind a bank of three faux drawers to the right of the sink.

Yes, there is a large apron front sink, as well as a 48″ wide Wolfe gas range and custom square inset cabinets by Wesley Ellen.

A mix of modern and country, this kitchen has modern 48″ wide floating shelves on either side of the 6′ wide curved hood fan, and it also has large country-style turned legs on the island.  See more photos from this project here.

Right next to the kitchen, this walk in pantry has plenty of space to keep this in order.  The counter top is reclaimed Sitka Spruce.

We love the simplicity of this kitchen! In a Bowen Island cottage, it has the design elements of a modern country kitchen: painted square inset cabinets with concealed adjustable hinges and full extension soft-closing drawer slides below dovetailed maple drawer boxes.  It even has a Buttercup Yellow vintage Northstar refrigerator. What’s not to like?

This wonderful grey kitchen could be equally at home in the country or the city.  The cabinets are beaded inset face frame cabinets with exposed barrel hinges and of course our standard dovetailed maple drawer boxes with full extension soft-closing slides.  The knobs and cup pulls are polished nickel.
