Your butlers pantry, butlers kitchen or servery may take as much thought and design as your main kitchen.
Whatever you call it, this is the space/room from which the dining room is served from.
To function well, in your design, you may want to consider sufficient counter-top space, a sink, appropriate storage for cutlery, dishes and table linens.
An under-counter wine fridge, a regular ‘extra’ refrigerator, and possibly a dishwasher may also be on your wish list.
Like any room, lighting is important; you should be able to dim the room lights to create the right atmosphere.
Under-cabinet lighting allows you to keep the room lights lower and still see what you’re working with on the counter.
In-cabinet lighting behind glass doors allows you to display dishes and glass-ware without being too obtrusive.
