Reclaimed Wood Floors

Reclaimed wood floors have been an important design element in a number of our projects. Right away they tell you that you are in a casual space and it's ok to relax.

The homeowners of this timber frame home wanted a low maintenance, user-friendly floor that felt comfortable to bare feet and fit in with the traditional custom inset cabinets they had chosen.  We know they got it right because they is us!

One of our projects on Bowen Island, near Vancouver, British Columbia.  The stained 6" wide reclaimed floor contrasts well with the 'Decorator White' walls, floors and custom inset cabinets.  See more photos from this project here.

This Galiano Island, British Columbia, home has a 100 year old reclaimed barn board hemlock floor throughout most of the house, including the master en suite.  The classic beaded inset custom cabinetry is elegant in contrast, but then that's the point.  Classy and casual mix very well!  See more photos from this project here.
